I have just now done something silly, but perfectly sane *and* mandatory at work.

I've put a Volcano warning into the software.

I'll leave it at aviation related.

Jet engines do not like ash plumes from volcanoes. The plumes generally contain rock-dust, which melts in the engines and gums things up.
